Day 1: Arrive In Dien Bien Phu (D)
Meet at the border crossing/at Dien Bien Phu Airport and transfer to your hotel. On the way, enjoy the scenic landscapes and catch a glimpse of rural life and farming activities.
After checking in at the hotel, enjoy a delicious dinner and then relax while discovering the vibrant atmosphere of the city at night.
Overnight in your hotel.
Day 02: Battlefields & Thai Culture (B/L/D)
7:00 AM - Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel.
Drive out to visit the Dien Bien Phu historical sites: Dien Bien Phu war remnants Museum which displays artifacts and events in the war against the French in 1954.
The main attraction is a vast panoramic artwork, recognized as one of the largest war-themed oil paintings in the world. It captures the Dien Bien Phu battlefield during various moments from late 1953 to May 7, 1954.
Continue on to visit some French positions such as Hill A1, Muong Thanh Bridge (the bailey bridge!), General De Castrie's bunker, and a nearby artillery base. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Enjoy a short tea/coffee break. After your short rest, continue driving to an ecotourism area, where you can swim in the hot spring pool and relax amidst the natural forest surroundings.

18.30 - BBQ and dinner at a local restaurant. Enjoy free time at leisure.
Private traditional music and dance performances by local people are available at an extra cost. Please ask our guide to reserve if you are interested (it often unfolds after dinner)
Return to your hotel, relax at the bar, or simply rest for the night.
Day 03: General Giap’s Headquarters & Pa Khoang Lake (B/L/D)
7:00 AM - Breakfast at the hotel
8:00 AM - Take a 25 km drive into the hills to the headquarters of the Vietnamese during the battle. Enjoy a walking route inside the green chestnut forest, and visit some bunkers where General Vo Nguyen Giap and his chief commanders worked in the war time.
Next, continue to Pa Khoang Reservoir, which covers an area of about 2,400 hectares and is set in a stunning landscape of natural forest.
Take a break by the shore, where tea and coffee are available.
You can also enjoy a boat ride on the lake, where you can take in the lush green surroundings of forests and mountains (please note that boating is an additional cost). Here, you can behold romantic landscapes and take some nice photos of the picturesque reservoir.

On the way back to Dien Bien Phu city, stop at the site where the Viet Minh began moving artillery along the trails into position for the battle. Here, you can also explore several cannon bunkers used during the attack.
Arrive your hotel. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant. Enjoy free time at leisure.
Overnight in Dien Bien Phu.
Day 04: Local Market & Return Flights (B/L)
Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
Drive to visit the Victory Memorial Statue on Dominique Hill, then continue to the local market to experience the bustling atmosphere and see daily trading activities. You will have free time to wander around the old market area and soak up its vibrant energy.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before transferring to the airport for your departure flight.
